Remarquez que de grands compositeurs se sont int\u00e9ress\u00e9s \u00e0 la mandoline :<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Mozart : <\/strong>accompagnement de la \u00ab s\u00e9r\u00e9nade de Don Juan \u00bb<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Beethoven :<\/strong> \u00ab Sonata per il mandolino \u00bb (pour son ami Krumphois). \u00ab L\u2019adagio ma non troppo\u00bb et \u00ab la sonatine en do majeur \u00bb<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Gr\u00e9try :<\/strong> \u00ab La s\u00e9r\u00e9nade de l\u2019amant jaloux \u00bb<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Antonio Vivaldi :<\/strong> son in\u00e9galable \u00ab Concerto en sol majeur pour deux mandolines \u00bb<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Pourtant, le grand nom de l\u2019art mandolinistique est celui de <strong>Mario Maciocchi<\/strong>. N\u00e9 \u00e0 Rome en 1874, d\u2019une famille d\u2019artistes, il s\u2019initia tr\u00e8s vite \u00e0 toutes les ressources de la mandoline. Venu en France \u00e0 l\u2019occasion de l\u2019exposition universelle de 1900, pour y diriger deux orchestres, il se vit contraint de cesser son activit\u00e9 pendant la grande guerre. En 1921, il rassemble les \u00e9l\u00e9ments de plusieurs estudiantinas et donne aux Ar\u00e8nes de Lut\u00e8ce avec ses 300 ex\u00e9cutants, devant 7.000 auditeurs, un concert qui f\u00fbt un v\u00e9ritable triomphe. Il \u00e9crivit 800 \u00e0 900 compositions ouvertures, pr\u00e9ludes, fresques, fantaisies, s\u00e9r\u00e9nades, barcarolles\u2026 mettant en valeur toutes les possibilit\u00e9s d\u2019un orchestre \u00e0 plectre.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Le 27 mars 1955, il assistait encore \u00e0 notre concert de gala, mais disparaissait apr\u00e8s une tr\u00e8s courte maladie en novembre 1955, laissant le souvenir d\u2019un travailleur infatigable, un artiste de grand talent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Les transcriptions et arrangements<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Ce sont des \u0153uvres qui ont \u00e9t\u00e9 adapt\u00e9es pour la mandoline, l&rsquo;orchestre \u00e0 plectre.
